Just purchased a 99 Series one Disco with 66k miles. The gaskets for rear windows in the cargo area are cracking and need to be replaced. Has onyone done this yet? Any problems with replacement? Found the seals at British Atlantic, anyone got ony other good web sites for parts?

I just ordered window gaskets (left, right, and rear) from rover connection. I plan on having them replaced by a local window shop. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I used some painter tape and outlined the effected area, then got some black high temp silicone and applied to the area. I then smoothed it out with my finger dipped in water, then removed the tape and let dry.

Unless you are closer than a few feet you don't even see it. cost about $4 if I recall correctly for the tape and silicone.

Rover parts here in Godzone are at a horrendous price, so the good old D.I.Y. Kiwi uses the silicone as soon as cracks appear to prevent rust in our salty air. Works just fine, I thought this was an N.Z. problem due to being under the huge hole in the ozone layer causing extreme U.V. exposure, but guess now that the crappy rubber breaks donn everywhere, Eh!~ Good Luck.
