Rear Wiper Replacement

I have recently purchased a 1997 P38 (with no users handbook!), and I need to replace the rear wiper.

How on earth do you stop the wiper returning to the start position, under the spoiler?

I've tried turning the engine off mid wiper ****** but this doesn't work, it can't be that difficult can it!

Any help gratefully received.

It's not too difficult. Just turn the wiper on. While it is running, go to the back of the vehicle. When the wiper comes down, push the button to open the hatch. This will stop it in whatever position it is in when you push the button.
