Remotes....

So i guess the battery in my remote died...so i went to the dealership and the salesman said just to go to a battery place and have it replaced. So i went and still didn't work. Just called my dealer and he said $50 to reprogram the remote!!!!! anyone have any other solutions for me? ie: how to do this myself

If it's a '98 or newer, ask for a kiss before they stick it in. I bought two remotes to the stealership to program, and after 15 minutes of work, I was the recipient of a $50 bill. They screwed me for 30 minutes of work.

it's a 97. Problem is i dont' even need new remotes..mine just lost it's codes

Try googling "Programming Land Rover Remotes". I did that before I found out I had to go to the stealer. There is a process you have to go through with holding down a sensor for the alarm and unlocking and locking the dorrs, but I think you'll need another person to do it. I had a link, but when I found it I couldn't use it I deleted it.
