Replaced my VSS, but......

The good news is that my stuttering in 4th gear ( OD ) is gone. The bad news is that now my speedo doesnt work. I'll recheck to make sure it is seated properly and the connector is on there, but if either wasnt, I'd assume that the stuttering would still be present. Hmm.


Also, my check engine light is still on after replacing the sensor. Do I need to reset the computer (disconnect the battery I assume) to clear the code? its the CHECK ENGINE light and not the service engine soon light.

With the check engine light on I would bet you are going to have to reset the steedo with a test book. I am pretty sure.
You may need to call the dealer to verify.

called the dealer, he mentioned i'd have to clear the check engine like with a scan tool, but had no idea why the speedo wouldnt work. Told me I didnt have it plugged in right! Pfft.
