RR classic start problem

Hi, I've a 1986 RR classic V8 3.5L but lately having to start up considerable long time before engine will run when engine is cold. Start up when engine hot is not a problem.

It would help if you start with any maintenance that may or may not have been done on the vehicle lately.

Last plug and wire change... fuel filter

When you say it take a long time to run... do you mean start or does it die often before it will drive...

Long crank before start? When was the fuel pump changed last? I had the same issue with mine for 6 months, started running rough, one day it just died. New pump fixed it and now it starts like a new car. It can be replaced without dropping the tank.
