SCV6 O2 sensor fail and code P0161/0162 codes - warranty valid for 11 yrs

My 2016 3.0 SCV6 threw an CEL and the IID tool showed the above codes. I've been fighting a similar issue with my 2002 Disco 2, so was particularly ****** off that her younger sister caught the same cold.

I stumbled accross a post on the internet completely by fluke as I was researching that issue and learned that the O2 sensors are - amazingly - warrantied for 11 years! I have posted below a link to the letter from JLR NA that I used when taking my vehicle to the local stealer (JLR Thornhill, ON). I collected the vehicle this morning with all work completed at no charge. Perhaps I'm the only person who didn't know this, but if not I hope this helps others. Saved me a few quid this week.

Came across your post last week, and recalled I had an O2 sensor replaced at my independent back in 2023. I never received notification before either by mail or email - and I am the original owner still of a 2016. I took the letter and my invoice for the work to my local LR dealer. They said a check will be issued in short order.
