OK. I've got my three pints of seafoam and I've heard people say put one in the gas tank (I'm OK with that), Suck one into the intake via a vacuum line (I'm ok with this to but I'd like to know if there is a better one to use than the hose going to the power brake booster) The pint I'm not sure of is in the crank case with the oil. I'm worried that a pint of seafoam will thin the oil too much and thereby affect the oil's lubracity( ability to lubricate properly - made that one up)

How long should I leave said pint in the crankcase before changing the oil?

Any and all help appreciated.

Good question. I am also interested in the answer. Might I ad another question? What is seafoam and where do you get it? I have seen it mentioned several times on several boards.

You get seafoam at the beach.

Actually I found it at autozone.

Adding to the oil: I normally add about 500 miles before the oil change. It will not thin out the oil to the point it will not work. As per the can you should use 1 ounce per quart of oil, the can is 16 ounces the rover will hold 7 quarts.... so you are basically doubleing the amount needed. It will cause just about all of the oil gummed up oil in the engine to come loose, so I would not drive more than 500 miles on it after you put a can in it...

As to where to buy, NAPA, Autozone, Advance, or you can order online at:
