Hello guys. This is my first post here, and I have been researching all kind of web sites to learn about the reliability of Range Rover HSE's. Every review is the same. The positive ones praise the thing, and the negative mention reliability. I was looking at an 03 or 04 HSE, but am hesitant to pull the trigger. The carfax reports I read show " vehicle serviced", so is that good or bad? I guess it's taken care of, but it seems like they all have pretty serious components replaced. I wouldn't buy without an extended warranty, but don't want to be a regular at the LR dealer either. I figure who better to ask than the owners. You guys drive them, and will tell the truth, unlike the dealers I talked to.
Thanks for any advice you can give to a wannabe LR owner!!

everyone i talked to when looking for a RR HSE told me to stear clear of the 03 altogether 04 was better 05 was the best of the bmw mills....i ended up gettin an 06 (jaguar mill) i bought it the end of march and its been in the shop about 5 times all for little crap nothing major.

mine is still under factory warranty so im taking it to the dealer everytime i notice something that doesnt seem right so it can be taken care of before the warranty runs out. mine drops dead in october so im saving up to buy the extended warranty (6yr 72k miles)

Welcome to the forum... also keep in mind that 95% of everything you read in the forums will be issues. Not many people post about the good things or the praises they have for their vehicles, I don't care what vehicle forum you go on it will be the same.

Thanks for the tip. Now that you mention that, forums are usually a gathering spot to trade knowledge, gripe, etc...People probably don't mention the good stuff about their cars.
You have a pretty sweet ride by the way too!!!!
