No problems getting through the mud at deer camp on Toyo open country AT3 tires. Love the All terrain progress control!

Well it has been fun build out thus far. New supercharger with 12% reduction pulley, PR 2" lift, Toyo AT3s, PR rock sliders, PR A bar with Baja Designs LP9 pro lights, PR hidden winch mount with a 12k winch, PR front bash plate, LR Security Camera system for front and rear coverage, and finally a Midland MXT575 50w GMRS radio. Up next will be a roof rack I think and then done.

These are some great pics and are encouraging enough that trading the LR3 is crossing my mind. One question though, many of you have lifts and I see Lucky8 doesn't sell the SYA kit for the D5, is there some inherent suspension change between the LR3 and D5 that eliminates the need for the SYA if you have a lift?

Would you mind posting pictures and a description of how you installed your Midland MXT575. I just got one and am trying to decide how best to install it. Thanks!

Sure.. the antenna install just changed for me though as I added a frontrunner rack and used their mount as shown in the profile picture. The main unit was a bit tricky to find a secure place. I have the 275 mounted under the drivers seat in my LR4 but the space there is very limited in the D5 so I looked to the center console area for the install. Behind the HVAC controls was promising but limited space due to the size of the 575 unit itself. When removing front kick panels along the drivers side (LHD) bottom of the console I found a space there that would hold the unit. My only concern was heat being trapped in the area since it is so close to the transmission tunnel. I tested with the 275 unit in this location and did not experience any overheating issues so I put the 575 in the same place. I will take some pictures of the location and let me know your thoughts on it.
