A little of both. But the computer will be off some also. When I drive 300 miles on the odometer the gps tells me I went about 330. When I do the math I usually come up with about 2 to 3 miles more per gallon then the car computers says.

Well, you're going 7% further than the odometer says, so if youre losing more than a mpg or so it's because of the tires. How much worse is it?

How much more do the SA's weigh than the tires they replaced? Unsprung weight increases have big impacts on mileage. Tread compound can effect mileage too.

The load rating on the Goodyear Silent Armor size 265/60/18 is 109 while the LR3 manual suggests 111/112 (I think). Don't want to go up a size. Do you think that is an issue?

Probably will be getting quite a bit of rub on the front of the rear wheel well as the wheel articulates up, even with a rod mod. Tires greater then 31.5 inch in diameter always do.
