Snow and ice = lo or hi range???

...While this is braking, the anti-locks do a good job of maintaining traction and keeping you going down under control in a straight line.

Maybe I had it tuned wrong and was asking for too slow a speed, but anytime I felt HDC kick in on a downhill in snow, a spin was induced. My results with 4-Lo engaged and HDC off were much better. In one case though I needed to select 2nd gear instead of 1st because 1st is so low 'n slow that I was sliding while idling down (no brakes). 2nd gear did fine. I have some really steep hills by my house, too. Don't know the percent grade or degree of the hill...I should run it with my inclinometer plugged in (it's digital) and see. I always intend to and then forget....but after sledding down them last year I can attest to their steepness!
