Got a 97 Disco just curious if the front wheel speed sensor threads into the hub or if it just pops in? Thanks...

Pretty sure they are not threaded in, why do you ask?

I had the Anti Lock Light on for awhile and my local shop scanned it for me and said it was my wheel speed sensor. They said its possible it could just be dirty and a little water could have got passed the seal but most likely if it got dirty then its bad. I was asking cause im going to pull it out and spray it down with some electrical cleaner and hope its still good. Pretty expensive part from the qoutes i got ( $300 ). Thanks for the reply.

Download a free copy of a Rave CD for D1's, it will walk you right thru the fix.
Also, so you know, squeaking brakes, a warped rotor or bad wheel bearings can throw the same code, so check it all out as you investigate.

Thanks i will check all that out, my brakes have been making a chattering for quite some time, cheaper brake pads with a little play in the caliper.
