I have had my LR4 for a couple of months now and after finally fixing my air suspension issues I now have the attached error codes happening randomly. So it started with occasionally getting errors where it could not detect the key FOB. Today while driving everything electronic shut down and then restored while driving. It took about 2 minutes for everything to come back. Then it happened again about 5 minutes later. Then everything was fine afterwards for the remaining 30 or so minutes I was driving. When I got home I noticed the key FOB would not lock the doors and many errors were back. Any Ideas????

I will check the terminal, it is a 1 month old new battery so could possibly be that. Will tighten and see what happens.

These cars are surprisingly sensitive to weakly charged batteries, but don't do a great job keeping them charged as part of the fuel economy optimization. When you buy a battery there's always some question as to its state of charge sitting on the shelf. I'd charge the battery all the way too just to eliminate that potential issue.

Checked the terminals and BOTH were loose enough to twist around, that's what I get for allowing Advance Auto to change the battery. You can see how loose the terminals are on the posts. I made sure both terminals were fully seated down and both went about 1/8 further on the posts and re tightened them. The battery is fully charged per a battery tester but the IID Tool reads 67% from the LR4. Will see how it works now. Any chance the alternator could be involved?

Glad you found the weak connections! A battery at 67% is not good. What is the voltage reading after the vehicle sits all night? If not reading 12.6 v... the battery is done.

Reading the battery voltage when the engine is running is not measuring the battery voltage. It is reading the charging voltage.

If I may suggest, don't fall into the pro-rated warranty game. You'll just end up putting another sub quality battery in there...

there could be an issue with the alternator. but, it's more than likely the loose cable connectors weren't allowing the battery to charge fully.

as guy mentioned. with the LR4 running, the tester only reads the alternators ability to charge. so, if that's reading fine, then your alternator is probably fine.

you can either disconnect the battery and attached a charger or just drive the LR4 around for an hour or so to see if the battery will hold a charge.

ok so I used an external charger that said the battery was fully charged, let it sit for 24hrs and now the FOBs do not work. It's only a month old battery so I will ask for a replacement.
