Switching an ACE DII to Coil Springs = Problems?

We have a customer with a DII that has rear bags and the ACE system. They wish to upgrade to coil springs all around but I have heard that can be some serious problems [legal] as far as liability of the system malfunctioning. I want to be sure I know what I am getting into before we start as this is the 1st DII we have worked on thus far.

If anyone could provide any insight on this it would be great. I have read that some people are fooling sensors or using spacers... Any information at all really would be great.
