Thermostat sensor Question

What is the sensor located on top of the thermostat housing behind the alternator? Or is it the fan switch?

I ran a temp/impedance test on the fuel temp sensor and it seems OK so I'm looking for other possiblities for my hot start problem.

What are the resistance values of a good Fuel Temp Sensor?

Go to a manual or the Rave which should have those numbers.
