Hello All,

I really need some help this time and unfortunately, I don't know what to search for to find an answer that may already be on here. So, thanks for your understanding and kind replies in advance. On Saturday morning I had a mechaic replace my radiator in my 98 RR HSE 100,400 miles approximately. The reason for the replacement was the the black part that the litlle needle hose went into on the top of the radiator was broken. I drove it on Saturday and the front right wheel seemed to be rolling a bit strange. When I looked at the tire it had a huge bubble so I got a new one. After I got the new tire it rolled better but it seemed like it wasn't accelerating very well. I felt a vibration underneath my feet and it was taking a while to accelerate. While retunring from replacing the tire driving on the highway about 65mph I heard a pop underneath (it felt and sounded a little like when a string gets stuck under the vaccum cleaner) not like an airbag pop but like something snapped. It became hard to steer but I made it to the side of the road and then I could not put the car in Park, Drive or Neutral. My only options were 3rd and Reverse. I put in Reverse and turned off the engine and waited fr a tow. It was towed on a flat bed to my home. There are no obvious things hanging/dngling from underneath the car.

I don't know if anything I mentioned above is related to the other but I wanted to give the whole story. Any possible ideas what may be going on??? Will I need a new transmission possibly or did I go into "limp mode" whatever that is? I'm at my wits end with the beast but I can't help but see the potential in it. It's been such a beautiful nightmare since I got it in March. Maybe by March 2010 I'll be able to drive it a full week without incident.

Thanks for your time!

Tywanna, this doesn't sound good. Just guessing but I would say either transmission or Transfer case. Are you available this week for me to look at it? If I can't fix it, we are only 1.5 hours from some of the best and Not as expensive as the dealer Mechanics in the area.

John at Hamilton Auto Repair is located just behind Nathan's Platinum Motor sports.

Thanks!
