I have a White 2010 LR4 HSE with mud flaps installed. I have noticed that when I use tire dressing, it splatters all over the car when I drive. I have tried everything, from gel products to drying the wheels with a yard blower to drying them with a towel after I apply the dressing but nothing works. I stopped using tire dressing bc after I drive the car I get these small black spots everywhere. This is very obvious esp on the white color. Anyone else experience this? Any suggestions?

I'm just using armor all on the tires. I use a small applicator to get the AA on the tires and it seems to dry up pretty fast. I have not had any splatters on my LR4. I do not have the mudflaps on mine.

I did have a lot of spray when the dealer gave my truck back to me a few weeks ago. They had used a ton of tire dressing and the tiresthrew stuff everywhere. What ever it was, it stuck to my wheels like glue and I had to wash the wheels two times to get it to come off.

I guess I need to use much lesser amounts of AA... I will try it. When that stuff dries on the rims and the paint it is very difficult to remove.
Thanks

Let your tires dry so that there is no water on them (I'm assuming you dress the tires after you wash them and yes you need to wash your tires). Put your silicone based tire dressing on at night, let it soak in for a bit and the wipe off any access. This way you can let the dressing sit over night. If you really want to drive after you've dressed them, just wipe down the car with a liquid wax spray. They shouldn't splatter more than a day. If they do, then your using too much.

I am a big "user" of Griot's products. www.griotsgarage.com
I use their tire dressing on all our vehicles and have not had a problem with "spatter". Heck, I take a swig of it every morning just to keep things moving!
