I was not able to reply to the previous thread, but I also have play in my hitch mount. My hitch mount slightly rotates in its chasis mount. This rotation is along the axis of the reciever tube.

I have a Yakima bike rack. It make the Park distance control useless, Does the LR Bike rack have the same problem

Thanks

Charles

Anything behind the vehicle is going to mess with the PDC, bike racks, trailers, etc. I can't imagine the LR bike rack is different, unless it's a carbon "stealth" rack-for which you would need "stealth" bikes. While LR probably charges enough so it should be stealth technology, I doubt they are there with it yet. Sorry, just switch off the PDC.

Charles, yes my LR bike rack does mess with the PDC, basically as soon as i put the transmission in reverse, the PDC starts sounding countinuously (constant beep). So it is a bad design in a sense that the bike rack alone (specially from LR) should not cause the sensors to beep. With the bikes mounted, sensors going off is ok but not just with the rack alone. I mean, when you have bikes on, you can just disable the PDC by turning it off as you dont need it since you are already conscious of the fact that you have bikes mounted and therefore are careful backing up and stuff or parking. But without the bikes, the rack should just act as part of the truck, just as the roof rack or cross bars, etc. This is because you dont wanna have to take the rack on and off everytime you have to use it.
