Transmission valve body

Unfortunately it’s not the same shop...

I’m going to try the gap tool again and see if it fixes. I’ve read to reset adaptations and then re-flash (in the gap manual) which I did not do the first time. Anyone else who’s done it or has insights?

I was mistaken, the transmission has been updated to the current version prior to my ownership but not re-flashed. I have reset adaptations with little improvement.

Transmission re-flash ($34) purchased through Gap IID fast lane and plan to do the procedure tomorrow (I’d do it today but traveling for work). Fingers crossed and will update with results.

My transmission guy says that he’s almost positive that the re-flash will fix it. He’d have vested interest in telling me I need a new trans, so I trust this diagnosis. My independent swears by him...

Reviving an old post here, but I’d love to hear how this all panned out for you. I’ve got the same shudder and the indie mechanic is scratching his head a bit. There’s lots of “we could try x” options but that’s an expensive game to play.

My gut tells me it’s the torque converter.
