I had a similar problem with my LR3, vibrating steering wheel while engine is at idle. 8 visits to dealership, which included replacing engine mounts, gearbox mounts and steering column. (Fortunately LR's are sold with maintenance plans in South Africa). Problem eventually identified as front diff, which was replaced and vibrating disappeared. I assume the LR4 (which I have now upgraded to) has a similar drive train configuration. Park your vehicle next to another at the dealership, start both of them and have the dealer feel both steering wheels, and then conclude whether your is "normal".
