Just an FYI.....I've been chasing a water leak for the last couple of years, thinking it was the Sunroof drains. Then after closer inspection a few weeks ago I could see the water dripping from the metal seam (inside the car) in the Dr Side corner at the windshield. Thinking it was a problem with a W/S replacement back in 2021, I had the W/S removed, resealed and re-installed last week. No smoking gun was found and leak continued. After a very close inspection at the body seam approx 1" from the windshield in the roof gutter (after lifting the gutter trim), I could see inconsistency in the seam sealer. Applied come RTV, leak stopped. I've cleaned the seam, ordered 3M Urethane Seam Sealer and will re-apply.

@timc930 ,

These leaks are probably a bane of our existence - I had a sunroof drain stoppage I finally just fixed (dirt and stuff in the drain).

Do you have photos by chance you would be willing to post?

Sorry no pictures. If you lift up the aluminum gutter trim at the windshield, you will see the first clip, and the metal piece that the clip secures to in the gutter. Just forward of this you will see an over lap seam in the middle of the gutter that runs to the windshield. This seam was leaking about midway between the windshield and the metal piece that secures the clip.
