water proofing a disco

Does any one have a method for water proofing the ecm on the passanger fender well of a 98 disco

I just did some corrosion control on mine. I cleaned it out, inspected, and put blue rtv around the edges before closing it up. Sprayed it liberally with wd-40 after.

There's different kinds of waterproofing...like 'splash-proof' is different from 'water-tight/submersible'. Which do you want?

There is a breether at the bottom of the ecu housing that I would imagine needs to keep breething to prevent condensation.

About 3 months ago I submerged my disco @ folsom lake here in CA
water up through my windows cd player amp door speakers leather all trashed. How ever all these items don't keep me from returning home at the end of the day the ecu under the hood is a whole nother can of beans
the raised air intake has been taken care of but the ecu remains a ?

A neat way to waterproof the ECU, is to find a tupperware type of container that's about the right shape to fit the ECU in, pop on the lid and just silicon up any holes. Hope this helps.
