I wouldn't get to excited. Cutting and welding is only needed in extreme cases. Most cars will be fine, a few will have a loose stud which can be tightened,and in the rare case, the stud cannot be tightened, because the threads in the body are gacked. You would have to have been putting up with the loose stud for quite a long time for that to happen, and most owners are way pickyer than that.
