'02 Freelander not shifting
check the fluid but sounds like a bad tranny. good luck trying to find parts for it. they only come as an entire unit. you can look up codes and see if any codes but free wheeling in third sounds like the tranny.- sandman

Oil Change
5w30 regular oil works just as fine in the winter. I have a disco and it works fine. the filter can be purchased anywhere its not too expensive around five bucks.- sandman

Want to add Bluetooth but I'm picky
land rover actually has a kit for the bluetooth, check the parts dept. its not easy but they may have to order it from overseas and then install it for you with a new module that fits that. and no it wont be cheap. it will match up perfectly and synch with the system with no problems. -

no one to blame but myself......
it wont void your warrantee unless it damaged a part like your radio. then your screwd. but dont talk about the sunroof issue or else they will make you pay for it. and clean it off but not too clean or they might get suspicious. -

window/door issue?
is it the rear cargo door, if it is just get new ones. no amount of adjusting will fix bent ones. if its the front ones you might be able to adjust a bit. just loosen up the bolts yourself and move the door around and make sure the gap is correct. use the other side as a guide. you will... -

DISCO II cruise control
no vacuum pump on a disco two. but most likely take off the hose and you will see a split. -

Overheating problem
look underneath the dash board on the pasenger side where the fan is. there is a sticker on it. if it is pink or green from a coolant stain then it needs to be replaced. plus if it boiled out it could have an issue with a head gaskets. 1.8L arent the best engine.- sandman

Clockspring?
you need a t30 to get the air bag off, its got to be around three inches long to reach inside and not too far out to hit the instrument pack. after taking it off center the steering wheel and take the bolt out. wiggle it a bit and then it should come off, if not put the bolt back in a bit... -

DO NOT buy your LR3 tires from NTB...
I started out there years ago at Sears and left because of the bs and low pay. I went back for a part time job and just decided it wasn't worth the hassle of stupidity. actually the time taken always takes way too long. what happens is one guy does the alignment and the other does... -

Buying a service loaner? Bad idea?
there was a guy on another board that took his service loaner into a ditch cause he was stupid and it just happened to damage the underside and it cost him alot of money for his stupidity. funniest thing was he was ****** the dealer charged him for everything cause he felt cause it was a land... -

Front Driveshaft Removal Help Greatly Appreciated
are you certain the others arent bad. and actually we usually replace the whole thing or replace all three ujoints. its a waste of time to do one. but if you pull it use a 9/16th swivel socket to get it off and use the same wrench to take the off, -

Extended Warranties
warrantee costs go up by the mileage. if you wait till the end with 47 months and 49k miles its a hell of alot more expensive.
