Hello all,
I just took delivery of 2011 LR4 HSE Lux this weekend. Loving the ride and fit and finish. So far all is great and my wife and kids love the new ride.

I have to say there was a small glitch as the NAV couldn't accurately read the correct road (ie citing 58th street when we were actually on 57th street.) Perhaps there is a way to reset the GPS?

Otherwise looking forward to attending a Landrover Off road adventure day!

Congrats! I am heading into the LR store this afternoon for delivery of my HSE with Climate Pkg. Can't wait. Baltic Blue w/ Almond. Was that 57th & 58th street in NYC?? If so how is that with the new BIG truck?

Yes it's in Manhattan. Big truck feels fantastic. Seating position is quality and gives you a proper view of what's ahead of you which is a must in NYC. The torque is outstanding but you can get carried away with poor mileage if you pound the acceleration more often than not. We moved from an X5 to this and strongly considered the GL, Escalade, LC/Sequoia/LX and the Q but the feel of this vehicle was second to none. The Nav was perfect outside of Manhattan so we'll see if this persists. Enjoy it! Heard that the off road trip is a blast so make sure you join that too.

Cool. I don't live there but I spend quite a bit of time there for work and I would not want my shiny new LR4 anywhere new those savages (NYC traffic) ha ha. Good Luck! I just got rid of my X3. Great car for what it is. Just needed to make an upgrade in size. Had considered the new Jeep GC Overland Summit as well. That is a very well appointed vehicle in it's new form. In the end the deal we got on the LR was actually better than the Jeep and it is bigger which is what we need.

Yeah, I have been active on a couple other forums and found them to be very informative and useful. I was a little concerned when I started searching for LR forums because not too many of them are very active. I look forward to using this one to find out more about the car and the community as a whole. Hopefully I won't have to spend time posting about maintenance issues!! Now if the HVAC guy can just hurry up and finish I can get out of here and get to it! By the way is this forum big on pics of the trucks? I haven't seen too many. I will be taking several tonight.

Congratulations! What color scheme? I got my new LR4 in February and still love it. I currently live in the SF Bay area, but went to graduate school in NYC and would never drive there! :)

Hi there,
Stornoway Grey, Ash interior (ie: young kids) with the Lux.
Oddly enough I don't think there is any other city that has more Land Rover's than NYC. It's a terrible place to park and it's just a question of when you'll have dent/scratches on your bumpers but LR4 chomps on all the bumps/potholes. SF Bay area so much better!
