The headlamp and tail light guards are definitely more for looks, but can offer some protection. I am putting them on more for the looks. They look great in person!

Agreed, I was very disappointed at just how flimsy and cheaply built they are. I'll be the first to upgrade when someone makes one a bit more solid. They do however look great.

Hey Kevin,

I think those Voyager rock slider/side steps are my next accessory. I absolutely love them! The head/tail lamp guards are pretty flimsy, but they look great! I think they would provide some protection against shopping carts, maybe small branches, or certain other light impacts. I think one of the forum members described a crack in his wife's light that likely would have been avoided if they had the guards. I guess some protection is better than nothing, but I would definitely upgrade to better guards once they become available. For now, it's about the looks and a tiny bit of protection! ;-)
