Chrome color grille? Naah. Gray works better!

Haha Seattle thread jack.

Here's mine on silver. My grill exactly matched the Land Rover letters... maybe my letters are a little faded

Looks nice on a silver LR3. Blended really well. You said silver. Bet it's the same as my gray grille. Ive searched online and there are only chrome or gray grilles being sold. Mine probably matched the hood letterings, but in some angles on my black LR3, it shows a shade bit darker. Thanks for sharing Mack!

Yes my grill is "gray" - when I mentioned "silver" above I mean my LR3 color :)

Looks Awesome

Thanks for posting the links and photos. Just ordered the grey for my 06 Tonga. Is the installation fairly simple, is it really a few minute job? Any advice/hints on the install job? Thanks again, love the LR3 looks but have always felt the front needed a little tweaking, looking forward to the change. Will post photos once complete. Good day.

Very Cool

Nsense- thanks for the link. Looks like a 2 minute job-just as you said. I ordered the grill and badge directly from your original post. From the photos the grill looks outstanding. Is the grill craftmanship, quality and durability as impressive when you have it in hand? Have a good weekend and thanks to all. :hello:

Wickham- the original grille weighs 7.3 lbs, this one being honeycomb weighs 6.5 lbs. Grille is made ABS material- very durable, impact resistance, hard plastic. It's not painted at all but has a nice clean gray finish. You wont be dissapointed.

 I wonder how it would look sprayed black? Maybe use some of that Rustoleum plastic paint?

Rob throw up a front shot of your rig and I'll photoshop it.

As far as paint goes, use Plasti-Dip Aerosl (you can get it from Home Depot). http://www.awarehousefull.com/products/plastidip-aerosol

It is rubber based so it can put up with the rocks. Any of the typical paints will chip off eventually. * I've painted many grills black in my past ;)

Oh and I was very happy with the quality. I did have to make one modification. The 2 lower clips were very weak and kept popping out from vibrations while driving. So I took some plastic epoxy and put a light coat on both the flexible tabs to stiffen them up a bit - worked perfectly.

EDIT: forgot to mention I've had this grill on mine for over a year and it is still perfect
