I have a 1996 SE Land Rover. I have changed out the rear shocks, replaced the speedometer switch, the air-conditioning switch, the brake switch. In addition I had the radiator re-built and replaced the headlights that had a little "sweat" in them. I bought some cowhide and had the cushion seats rebuilt with it. I love my Land Rover and my son wants to buy it from me. Oh! I also installed running boards so my wife could get in easily. I also changed out one of the tail light bulbs and replaced the power steering pump lines.

There is so much win on that truck that I am not sure where to begin. Nice work!

Can you explain what all you had to do to get the 33" in there? Can you run it at stock height or access height? What all did you have to mod?

hi,
i hope my english is good enough to answer your question.
when i decided to go with this tire size i build in the llams heightcontroll.
i am sure you know, that you can add in either onroad or offroad mode
3 cm or 5cm +.
i use onroad the + 3 cm mode - without any problems. i tried it also in the regular onroad mode and there were no rubbing at all, but to be honest this was a very good road with no bumps .....( i could find out for you if it is possible to use it without lift onroad.)
i use this lr4 80% on gravel road and offroad. therefore the setting is allways on +3 cm.
i had to do some trimming of the wheelarches -( that was a bad feeling to cut
on a nearly new disovery.)
this lr4 is a diesel so i don't no if the v8 is similar with the exaust or other parts.
at the moment we have a lot of snow - therefor i could'nt test the supension
in rough terrain. but i tried on a steep hill the axle-articulation - then i needed
the full height (offroad and +5 cm ) of the discovery because otherwise in the rear the tire was rubbing heavy. i wanted to have those cooper st maxx,
here in austria you just get them in this size. they are slightly higher than 33 inch.
so - i stop now before it turns out in a book :) .....
regards from seefeld in tyrol
