Hello,

I am new to this forum. I just purchased a 2016 Lr4 landmark with 255/50r20's. what is the larget tire i can fit without a lift. I was thinking of Nitto terra grappler G2 285/50r20's? Does anyone have these on their Lr4? any rubbing issues? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

The limiting factor is not the height of the vehicle, it's hitting the frame or other components when you turn. A "lift" only exacerbates these problems by drawing the wheels closer to the frame.

The tire you specified is pushing the upper limits, but I think it could work. Someone else here may have tried that size already, so see if anyone else chimes in.

There is a recent feed with a lot of feedback on this topic. If sold on the G2s, no lift, and no rubbing, you are limited to the 265/50/20. This size is also the largest that will fit in the spare tire pocket when fully inflated. I have them on my LR4 and like them.

Here are some pics of 265/50/20 G2s at standard ride height.

@AJB_2016_Landmark – I have 285/50r20 G2s on my truck and can confirm that there is some slight rubbing at full lock.

I really wanted 285s as they look awesome and create some good wheel saving bulge on the sidewalls. I just couldn’t get passed the rubbing issue and spare tire fit issue. I’ve heard that someone ran some 5mm spacers(not sure it’s a good idea) to eliminate the rub but there’s still not an easy solution on the spare other than lowering air pressure, overriding TPMS alert at startup or ignoring, or ultimately relocating the spare.

Looks good! I love the green on black color combo.

Thank you. I like it too. When I ordered it, the dealer’s manager thought it was a crazy request and didn’t want to do it. When I picked it up, the salesman said he could have sold my ride five times in the two days it sat in the showroom waiting on me to get back from a business trip.
