The line about heritage caught my eye also when I read the article. Just hope it wasn't marketing blah-blah. Also hoping that the mule is a good indicator of body style to come.
That, and that it doesn't cost $80,000. Both those are musts in order for me to stay a Landy man. But I still have bunches of years left in the LR4, which by the way is slowly becoming my favorite car I've ever owned :)

Looking at these latest images, I'm trying to determine whether those are 18" wheels. I suppose they could be?

Heavily masked but looks promising. Approach and departure angles look decent. That muffler looks a bit prone, eh?

Either way, fun to know something really exists.

Yeah, really. It does look like what the natural progression of the Discovery could have been. Looking forward to what the inside may bring - could be all over the map since they supposedly will make bare-bones Safari versions to Luxury Country Club versions.

The lines on this make me much more excited about this vehicle now. And I'm relieved it's not an egg on wheels

Here's a short wheelbase, 2-door version:

looks like what the natural evolution should have been for the Discovery 5 instead of the rounded/soft japanese'ish car styling it is today.

I think they've intentionally made it look like the LR4 the same as the prototype they were driving around several months ago looked like a RRS.

This one also has different wheels than the prototype that was shown about a month ago. These ones look more like 19's or 20's.

The rear, roof and bonnet are clearly added bodypanels to cover the real shape. Common practice for oa mule vehicle. But the mirrors look like a hint towards Defender.
