Bought a LR3 Brush Bar (says right on the package for LR3--VUB501270) and it just won't fit on my LR3. My truck has the factory installed appearance package (came with it) and the bottom trim pieces seem to prevent the bottom arms or the bar from going under the truck for fastening. Any suggestions or mods out there? Called the LR vendor as well as my local dealer, they are looking into it (does the appearance pack affect the bar), just wondered if anyone here ran into the same issue.

Cheers, Ron

Ron,

It's been a while, but I remember having to trim the plastic piece you take off to get
to the recovery point. If you post some pics of the area you are having trouble with
I'm sure more will chime in.

Ron,

I did not have the appearance package on my truck when I installed mine, but from what I can see from your pics your brushgaurd may not be compatible with that section of your front bumper. It hangs down too low. Wait and see what your vendor and or dealer says. You may need to do a liitle trimming if you want it to work. Keep us posted.

This may be a silly question Ron, but do you know if that brush bar is compatible
with LR3 models with the "appearance package"?

Duck,

THAT is the question. I asked when ordering from a Rover dealer (answer; "YES"). I also called the selling dealer as well as the one closer to me today, both parts depts are "looking" into it. Was hoping some smarter folks on the forum would have the answer.

Sorry we couldn't help you more Ron. Don't see many LR3's with that appearance
package. Be patient, maybe someone with your exact situation will chime in.
Good luck.

DD,

Wouldn't have paid for it myself ($4500) but I bought the truck very lightly used (1400 miles) and the guy who ate ALL the depreciation ordered it from the factory :).

Brush Bar

You will need to cut / trim those bottom pieces. Unfortunately I can see that you already have drilled the bumper / installed the upper mounting bolts. I'd make the dealer install a new appearance package bumper and forego the brush bar... or have them trim the appearance package to fit the brush bar mounting bottom bolts.

Vegas,

That Is what I though. I am hoping LR planned for this and has a kit/templates or something. Am going to suck it up and take it to the dealer.

Sadly, I got the brushguard off a dealer in TX, off eBay.
