    Eco Issues - 2015 LR4

Has anyone had issues with the Eco start/stop? Ours originally threw a fault and it was a poor connection, which was fixed. Now it hasn't been functional for about a month with no error codes and everything else is functioning great. The dealer flashed the software and updated everything...

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?

Just getting back to this... I'd be curious to see if pre-MY 2015's have the aluminum blocks on the side of the vehicle. The instructor said those were part of the side airbag system. Can anyone confirm? That's the part that sounded legit to me - the side steps were integral to the...

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?

For what it's worth.... I just did my LR Experience (2 hrs. offroading) and the instructor said the side steps were tied into the side impact bags. Something about the structural nature of steps and impact from angles on the side where the crash to the side step triggers the bags. It...

    Well she's here!

Congrats on the new rig! I'm a reluctant fan of the tail lights - I didn't like them at first, but now I do. They grow on you. If you ever follow your car (!!), you'll notice how efficient they are, which is what they are supposed to be. The nav on the LR4 is never going to win any prizes...

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?

I'm not a fan of the look of these and was all set to remove them, but...they are handy. For putting stuff on top - such as a paddleboard - I was paying attention to how much I used them and it was a fair amount. I'm going to see how it goes over the summer and then I might take them off...

    cooler

On our 2015, the interior tray can be flipped over to fit some water bottles better and yes, it does have a rubber seal on that tray, so i think it would help keep things cool.

    2015 LR4 sidestep

I'm also considering the removal of the side steps... You might want to check out youtube - there is a video on there about removing the side steps on a LR3 and it looks like a pretty similar process for the LR4 from my quick look.

    Initial Impressions - 2015 LR4 HSE LUX

Needless to say, there is no dealer propaganda or plate frames on our LR4.

    Initial Impressions - 2015 LR4 HSE LUX

In San Francisco, LA, and Sacramento, at least - they give fix it tickets for no front plate. Especially in SF. Not significant, but a hassle. Also, FasTrak likes front plates and the Mex/California border agents utilize no front plate as a good reason to send you to secondary inspection...

    Initial Impressions - 2015 LR4 HSE LUX

On the bumper...the service manager was just matter-of-fact about it. "Sorry that happened, it'll take three to four days to fix, when do you want to schedule it?" I was looking for a little more love on such a lame maneuver and then them having our car for four days. I mean, just pretend...

    Initial Impressions - 2015 LR4 HSE LUX

Boneheads on the license plate holder for sure - that is just amazing to me. On the Eco stop thing - it does take a while to get used to it. It really bugged me at first, for sure. So far, it has bugged me coming out of a sporting event in stop and go traffic getting out of the parking lot...

    Initial Impressions - 2015 LR4 HSE LUX

While this is my SO’s main ride, I have gotten some miles in during our first month, too. Our 2015 HSE LUX is silver with beige interior and wood steering wheel and that's it – pretty basic. I’ll hit some of the issues that have been talked about. 1. It has plenty of power. Never been...

    Load Space Protectors

I bought an aftermarket carpet mat. A Lloyd's mat from matdepot.com. It matches the carpet perfectly and is cut to fit - better than anticipated, in fact. It has a rubber backing, so it's relatively waterproof. For $120 and with two kids, I thought it would try this one first. It rolls up...

Help! Need a Sanity Check for LR4 Pricing

Phil1ben - the pricing and negotiating definitely seemed more buyer friendly on the east coast and better further north, certainly. We just couldn't find the model we wanted and the ordering slots came with a later delivery than we already had. I would have had to ship/drive it to the west...

Help! Need a Sanity Check for LR4 Pricing

I went thru almost the exact same process. We got ours from Neillo as well. When the dealer is listing used LR4's for $10K over MSRP, we pretty much knew our negotiating ability was going to be limited. I travel nationally, so I even tried several dealers on the east coast while we had ours...
