Eco Issues - 2015 LR4
Has anyone had issues with the Eco start/stop? Ours originally threw a fault and it was a poor connection, which was fixed. Now it hasn't been functional for about a month with no error codes and everything else is functioning great. The dealer flashed the software and updated everything... -

Congrats on the new rig! I'm a reluctant fan of the tail lights - I didn't like them at first, but now I do. They grow on you. If you ever follow your car (!!), you'll notice how efficient they are, which is what they are supposed to be. The nav on the LR4 is never going to win any prizes... -

2015 side step -- really a side impact safety feature?
I'm not a fan of the look of these and was all set to remove them, but...they are handy. For putting stuff on top - such as a paddleboard - I was paying attention to how much I used them and it was a fair amount. I'm going to see how it goes over the summer and then I might take them off... -

2015 LR4 sidestep
I'm also considering the removal of the side steps... You might want to check out youtube - there is a video on there about removing the side steps on a LR3 and it looks like a pretty similar process for the LR4 from my quick look. -

In San Francisco, LA, and Sacramento, at least - they give fix it tickets for no front plate. Especially in SF. Not significant, but a hassle. Also, FasTrak likes front plates and the Mex/California border agents utilize no front plate as a good reason to send you to secondary inspection... -

I went thru almost the exact same process. We got ours from Neillo as well. When the dealer is listing used LR4's for $10K over MSRP, we pretty much knew our negotiating ability was going to be limited. I travel nationally, so I even tried several dealers on the east coast while we had ours... -

I also paid MSRP. My dealer also owns the next closest dealer and the one after that is in San Francisco, which didn't want to sell outside their area. Rather than quibble, we settled - the SO has a low tolerance for car dealer shenanigans, so a good experience was high on the priority list... -

Update... ECO mode is now always disabled, regardless of any action. Dealer 'has never seen that' and will likely need the car over the weekend. If they could just get the dash warning light to go away, I might be OK with that. Kidding - a two week old car should function completely... -

Just keeping everyone posted... Our LR4 was delivered to the dealer last nite (after the dealer closed), and it's ready for pick-up, although due to scheduling, we'll be picking it up on Friday. From order to delivery - 79 days. -

I'm in Northern CA and my build date was February 3 (full moon) with a delivery date of March 20. On my 'build sheet' the build date was February 6-11. Not sure if that helps anyone... If I get confirmation tomorrow that my dealer indicated, I'll post it. -

We got the VIN about eight weeks in, but that's only when I asked for it - I'm not sure if they had it earlier. On my 'build sheet', the first part of the VIN was listed and the dealer had the last eight digits. They did not have the complete VIN when we put a deposit down. -

No actual ship date, but we did receive a lot of estimates - last change date, build date, delivery date, etc. on the 'final build' sheet from the dealer. Including the order date, there were 11 dates. Then, in TOPIx, I figured out the actual build date with my VIN and confirmed model...
