I’ve seen older Defenders with the rear window blocked out. Is that the thought of the back solid section? Is it for inserts for accessories of some kind?

The next teaser is out, still not a whole lot to go on here

I am not sure it is new because I've seen it a few times on CNBC but you're right; there isn't much to it. I think it is more reminder than teaser. As if to say "Shopping for a new Gelandewagen? WAIT! The Defender is coming... Eventually."

Screen snags. The hood has the diamond plate. From the side shot that’s the 5 seater.

Stupid phone won’t upload pics. Will post later.

Lol.

"Our sat nav interface sucks, so you'll want to pull over and unfurl a paper map on your bonnet."

So true. A couple of years ago I stopped by an AAA office and got a few paper maps that are still in my glove box. Can't trust the LR4 nav to reroute you around an unexpected road closure without going on a multi-state tour.

By comparison, the Garmin nav in our Passport is amazing, especially the 3D view.

Yeah, eerily similar to the Bond car which is very concerning b/c that think looked like a KIA Soul with those stupid flared fenders. Hoping that is not even close to the final product, but, alas, this is the company that brought us the new Discovery, so that ought to tell you something. Expect the worst and hope for the best.

Looking more and more likely that we'll have to switch brands in four years when our Extended Service Plan expires. Oh well, that 8 good years with Landy under coverage. Who knows what 2023 will bring for options.
