I love driving mine. I remember the first time I drove it off-road, it felt cushy and isolated from the ground. The engineers spent a lot of time making it luxurious which includes hanging counter-weights off the hydro-formed steel frame rails. They struck a great balance between sport and off-road capabilities and city vs. country terrain in their design decisions.

If it makes you feel any better, here's what I've replaced on my 2011 LR4 with one additional year of ownership than you:

1. Rear sway bar links
2. Air compressor
3. Parking brake module
4. Battery
5. Alternator
6. Front calipers, brakes & rotors
7. Rear calipers, brakes & rotors
8. Front hubs
9. Rear left CV axle
10. Front left speed sensor (my fault, broke it while removing for hub replacement)
11. Rear right brake pad wear sensor

And that's with only 18k miles driven since purchased. The comfort, linear power from the NA 5.0 Jag V8 and cargo capacity on these is hard to beat.
How many miles were on it at purchase time. Its an ‘11. Built 15 years ago. I think of everything on your list as maintenance.

FYI, I bought a 2010 at 96k km in 2018.
Now at 220k km.

Main wear and tear replacement items in 8yrs of ownership:

battery x2
Front lower control arms
Rear upper control arms
Suspension compressor
Brake rotors (~every 2nd change of pads)
radiator
Lower steering shaft
Rear hatch opening mechanism
Rear 3rd brake light (original one fell off on a road trip!)
Head lamp bulbs (low beam twice)
passenger front wheel bearing
Front and rear coolant cross-overs
Water pump
New rad hoses (PM)
Metal gas tank cradle
Rear parking sensors - buy cheap Chinese knock-offs that last 12-18 m
Oil changes every 5k km
Updated transmission pan
Rear brake lines (prone to rusting out)
Serpentine belt
engine idler pulleys

On average over 8yrs it has cost me $CAD2,500 per year in maintenance. Probs 2/3 done by me and 1/3 done by my mechanic.
Its been the most reliable car I have ever owned in terms of not stranding me once ever (touch wood).

If you add in purchase cost amortised over 8yrs the totalk is $5k per year (excl. gas, insurance etc.). I figure that would barely get me a Honda Civic on a lease, so am fine with higher maintenance costs.

The electronic parking brake failed 3yrs ago. Pain to fix so have not bothered. I would urge you to be scrupulous in making sure your rear parking brake shoes are correctly set up. Apparently too much slack in the cables is the frequent cause of the mechanism over-winding, screeching like a banshee, and giving up the ghost.

I bought mine new in the summer for 2013. It only has 65k miles. The only failure I've had is the rusty rear brake lines and the rear hatch mechanism. All else I've done preventively, which are:

- Front lower control arms and hubs at the same time
- Transmission fluid and new pan
- new gas tank cover (old one was rusty and was replaced during the gas tank recall)
- I have had all the parts for the crossover pipes, pump, serpentine belt, spark plugs, etc. And will be doing that soon.
- I'm on my third battery and second set of front rotors and 3rd for rear. 3-4 sets of pads.

Love the LR4. I hope it continues to run well for another 5 years. At that point, I will probably move on.
