I'm pretty sure that the heated mirrors activate when you use defrost on the main glass. I'm not aware of any way to activate them by themselves. -

I changed my oil yesterday at the usual 5K interval (85K odo FWIW). I took out just over 8 qts. I usually put 8.5 qts back in and it always pegs the digital gauge at Max. This time I only put in 8 qts before checking the level and the digital gauge indicated Max. I just went out to check again... -

Tow-ball bike racks that allow the upper tailgate to open?
I’ve had good luck with Thule (current) and Yakima racks of this design. The feature you want is fairly standard on this type of rack or any type for that matter. I currently use a Thule tray style rack and even it will release to allow the upper liftgate to open. -

headlight question
I’m pretty sure that it may be required in the U.S. for DRL to go off when a turn signal is on. It’s to enhance the visibility of the turn signal for that interval. That said, I’m not sure if my 2013 acts that way when DRL are activated via GAP tool. Never checked but will. -

I'm starting to doubt the reliability of the wear sensors. I've driven over 120K combined miles in my 2011 and my 2013 and the brake wear warning has never gone off. 2013 Land Rover LR4 brake pads and discs
I researched a bunch of options and read countless discussions here on the forum. When it was all said and done I stayed with OEM equipment and am very happy with it. I live with the brake dust but they are quiet and give good performance for my driving style which some might refer to as "spirited." -
