    5.0 Fuel Rail torque specification?

Thanks but not those bolts. The bolds that hold the fuel rail on down by the injectors. There are 4 on each side and you have to pull the fuel rail when you change the injector. I am reassembling it now but want to make sure I get those correct.

Oil leak showing up behind alternator?

Just a follow up on this. I took the car to my shop and it is what I assumed. They replaced the passenger side valve cover gasket as well as injector seals and other small items. I could have lived with it for awhile as it was only a drop or two every day or so but choose to just get it fixed.

Oil leak showing up behind alternator?

Just to make sure and see if I can narrow it down, I jacked the vehicle up so it was setting level and ran it for 15 minutes and let it sit for the last 36 hours. Came back and there was two drops under the rear drivers side of engine and 6-8 decent sized drips under the passenger rear side...

Oil leak showing up behind alternator?

Well I took some of the covers off from inside of the fender well so I could get a better look and I looks like it is coming from higher up on the passenger rear side at back of engine so probably a valve cover. See pic below. This is laying under the car so the bottom of the pic is towards...

Oil leak showing up behind alternator?

2011 LR4. I notice a small drop of oil under the car yesterday after I did an oil change the day before. I cleaned that up and came out again this morning and there was another drop. Backstory, I pinched a gasket on the oil filter housing this summer and oil leaked everywhere and ended up...

Tires that can still run chains

Dont want to bump an old thread but wanted to give my review of the Goodyear Silent Armors. Got them put on the stocker 18s and they are great. I have gotten to drive them in the rain and snow and they performed awesome. Have not had them in deep snow yet but I have no doubt they will perform...

Tires that can still run chains

The chains I have been running are ones that I got from Les Schwab tires here in Oregon, they are branded as Les Schwab but are manufactured by Laclede Chain Manufacturing Co. out of Vancouver washington I believe. That is what it says at the bottom of the instructions. I got a slight size up...

Tires that can still run chains

Sent you a PM. I am trying to decide between the Toyo Observes, Blizzaks, and Silent Armours. Anyone have opinions on the three?? All available in a 265-60-18. I just saw the Observes in Les Schwabs and they raved about them in the snow and rain. They are a soft, sipped tire.

Tires that can still run chains

Going to keep the 19's and run them in the summer. The stockers are needing replaced and there is a better selection of winter tires in the 18" size, and I can run them all winter going up to the mountain and back on the weekends. In reality I only have to chain up a couple times a year but I...

Tires that can still run chains

Well I picked up a set of LR3 18" wheels to mount a set of tires to run in the winter. I was all set to get a pair of the coopers and then read that you cant run chains on them for lack of clearance. Where I live we have some short but very steep hills that I have always needed chains to get...

    06' HSE wheel options

One more question- I found a set of 18" off of a 2005, is there any difference at all or will any LR3 wheel fit my HSE?

    06' HSE wheel options

Good to know about the Toyo HT's. They are available right down the street at a tire shop and are fairly inexpensive. I was kind of wanting something a little better in the snow, so that was the reason for starting to look for some 18" tires but I might consider just putting a better 19" on if...

    06' HSE wheel options

I had never seen that either. That will save me some serious time wandering around c-list. I was thinking of looking at the michelins or pirellli's if I stick with the 19's. Anyone have any opinion on the Toyos? The guy at Schwab said they were more of a highway tire and would not do so well...

    06' HSE wheel options

Thanks for the reply. I have been doing more research and came to the conclusion you provided. I appreciate your help very much. I am trying to decide now between going with the extra set of wheels and tires or go with the Goodyear MTR's (wow they are spendy). Ideally I would like to get the...

    06' HSE wheel options

Hi- first post here. Lots of good info on this site. I am fairly new to Rovers in general but we have had our 06 HSE LR3 for about 2 years now and LOVE it. We live in the Portland area and it has been amazing handling the weather conditions heading up to the mountain. I am needing to get some...
