    Underbody splash shields...

yeah for sure. I just would've negotiated the replacement of these into the deal had I known! But all good...nice to have these little projects that are DIY-able for me at home. The warranty's covering full replacement of lower control arms, so feeling good about that.

    Underbody splash shields...

Thanks! Unfortunately out of stock but I think I can piece most of it together via mcmaster. Contemplating the ASFIR... This is a good example of why even with a 'certified' car, a PPO is a good idea - esp when buying sight-unseen. The car came with a 90-day warranty that's pretty exhaustive...

    Underbody splash shields...

Thanks guys. I think I found used ones on ebay that'll work with a little reconditioning. Now to figure out the fasteners...

    Underbody splash shields...

Yes - you are correct. Misunderstanding with the shop...it's the two metal plates near the front. I'm thinking I should go ahead and replace them.

    Underbody splash shields...

Hey all. I just had my new-to-me 2016 in for an inspection. Apparently it's missing both underbody splash shields. A quick search turns up a mix of opinions...some people saying to trash them, don't need them...others insisting you do. What says the collective wisdom here? They're plastic so...

Trailer Hitch Receiver from Atlantic British?

^^^ Yeah - I passed on that same one at $350..and I saw that same one at $175 shipping! I think those guys are onto the fact that they don't get hit with fees on ship costs... I pulled the trigger on the AB setup. Will report back on how it goes.

Trailer Hitch Receiver from Atlantic British?

Bumping up this very old thread...anyone using the AB tow hitch these days? My use case is 'rack only' and I'd rather not spend $700 (or $400) on just the receiver...

    Showoff Your LR4

yeah me too! I wish it were Galway but seeing how it's almost impossible to get a dark green land rover these days, I'll take what I can get...

    Showoff Your LR4

Meet my new-to-me 2016. Mostly stock so far, just added the rack/ladder and the Falkens. Just got back from a 2.5K mile loop through utah and arizona to get to know each other.

    Overall height with frontrunner?

Oh that's interesting! I assumed that when you remove the actual rail, there would be gaps toward the front (I'm doing the 3/4 rack). This is great to know.

    Overall height with frontrunner?

Thank you! I'm also doing the short version. Trying to figure out how to finish the ditches when I pull the full length rails. Did you do that, or did you have the short rails to start?
  17. C

    Overall height with frontrunner?

Thanks! Max height is 88". But trying to squeeze a low-profile box on there, too... It looks like the car's at 74" in normal height, and the lowest profile box I can find is 10"H. So I'd have 4" max. Super tight.

    Overall height with frontrunner?

I'm picking up a 2016 HSE, and trying to figure out rack options... I did a deep dive trying to find this info in previous posts but I couldn't find a clear answer. Does anyone have the overall max height (stock, no rods etc) including the frontrunner rack, when in normal mode not access...

Maxing Out Off-Road Ability on 19" Wheels (yep, tires again)

^^^ Thank you both. Also looking at the Falkens in the stock size, mostly because they have the 3-peak rating and these will get winter use as well.

Bumping up this old thread...any new developments on options for 19's?

Is this possible to remove '16 LR4 running boards?

Question: was this non-destructive; could you re-install them, or did you have to mangle any plastic bits to get them off? Asking because I really want to pull them off, but would need to reinstall for lease return. Thanks!
