LR4 towing 24ft center console boat
Yes mine has brakes on one axle because of the weight. I believe the LR4 manual recommends brakes over 1,000lbs. My first boat was an 18' and didn't have brakes. With a 21', I'd want brakes on the trailer. -

Trailer Boat Magazine finds that boat trailers are typically in the 5-7% range. Boats are almost always stern heavy. So I would have to agree with TBM. I don't know the exact tongue weight but I'm sure its under 550lbs. Most of the weight (engine, drive and fuel tank) is at the stern of the boat and over the tandem axle. I can see that camping trailers would have a increased tongue weight because the amenities can be spaced throughout the... -

Creaking and cracking - normal?
I agree the build quality and materials used is top notch - especially compared to the older Disco's. I did notice the plastic inside of the center console box was cheap and thin, but it is just the inside of a box. -

Climate Control Air Recirculation
We have a 2010 LR4 that does not have the auto recirculation with pollution sensor. Instead it's that standard recirc. on/off button. I just checked the manual (2010 LR4) and it indicated the xenon are 55w. Also the halogen headlamps are H7 55w. I would like to order the kit. Do I get H7s or H11s as others have stated? -

Creaking and cracking - normal?
The only thing that creaks (not all the time) in our 2010 LR4 is center console storage box. The interior of it is pretty cheap plastic. -

Key fob to adjust height?
Yep, it's lawyer speak. The manual suggests you can do this so you can adjust the height to hook up a trailer. The hazard symbol on the fob is what I believe is a panic button. -

Yes. Go to page 162 of the owners manual and it describes the operation. The truck must be stopped. Doors closed. Hazards on. Hold lock and unlock to raise. Hold lock and trunk to lower.
