i have a workshop manual its a vdr 100090 and doesnt tell how to change cly.sleeves and was woundering if they come out like a diesel as mine is a gas powered v8. so is it possable to inframe a v8 motor or does it have to come out to do such work. if im going to change sleeves then i am going to change crank bearings as well but dont want to take the motor out if i dont have to

what grade of gas should this thing be running on high test or mid grade i bought this thing used and there is no owners manual so i might have some stupid questions about landrovers but bare with me im new to the landrover stuff sorry for dumb questions

Best thing is to download the RAVE and the Engine manual from my Signature..

Highest grade of fuel you can buy is best for the Rover.

Why do you feel you need to change your sleeves, how have you tested them? Lower octane gases will run the engine hotter causing more issues.

First off, don't guess when it comes to sleeves. Have you found and fixed the overheat issue? If there is a failed sleeve, it is cheaper to replace the engine then resleeve it.

yes the water pump went out twice and was shut off when the other owner saw that i bought it needing a water pump and p/s presure o rings but was woundering what might happen knowing it was hot



now a new problem i have is the driver side window goes down and when u click it to go down by its self it doesnt stop like it should i can hear the motor keep working but today i rolled it down and it wouldnt come back up so i took the door panel off *** pryed on the track a little and it went up so what makes the window stop when it reaches the bottom
