1995 Discovery Wont move

Hey I just got a 1995 Land Rover and when i tried to put the 4 wheel drive on the car ceased to move. It turns on fine but i cannot get it to move any help would be much appreciated.

Sounds like you put the transfer case in Neutral.

The handle seems to be jamed between neutral and park. How can I fix this. (obviously I don't know much about cars so details would help also)
