2000 LR Disco 2 no crank

Hi there! I have a 2000 LR Disco and it ran fine and than we put in a new transmission, vol controll button, thermostat, etc...I also disconnected the battery for a few weeks. When I went to start it I had power to everything except there was no crank. I checked and there was power going to everything even the starter. My buddy is the mechanic and put the meter on it and it came up as a alarm code. I think the engine might be on lock down due to the battery being disconected thinking it was being stolen. I can use my key and everything works even the locks and alarm. Maybe the ECM or ECU is not communacating. Any help would be appreciated greatly!

What was the alarm code, really helps to know.
Try 2 things, reset your alarm by locking and unlocking yor door 3 times, also reset the inerita button located on the passengers side of the firewall near the 2 heater hoses, then see what happens.
