Afternoon all,

Hope all are well.

Recently purchased the 2015 Discovery Sport HSE Lux Black and am wanting to use the USB port for media.

I believe the USB needs to be formatted to FAT32, which it is, but when I plug it in the name of the stick is recognised but Device Error appears on the screen.

Does anyone have working experience with the USB on a similar vehicle?

Kind regards,

So I figured it out.

It's tough to find the finer details on the screens and the setup of these entertainment units.

Basically I wanted to make a video library for the rear screens so I didn't have to rely on the inbuilt DVD player. There's a USB port on the rear of the main console. The videos I have already just needed to be resized to a resolution of 720 x 480.

The error is misleading in that there is no device error, the entertainment system can not downscale any videos larger that the resolution of native DVD.

Thanks all for the replies.

I just bought a 2020 TREK issue Discovery. It runs great. Love the ride.
Having trouble with getting my music that I have on flash drives, read by the infotainment system. I have it on removable flash drives. I have them formatted in FAT 32. The first time it worked after a short wait, then after starting up the vehicle again for another errand it didn't recognize the drive or said there were no compatible files on the flash drive. It seems VERY buggy. Is there a firmware upgrade maybe for the infotainment system. Sometimes it works but most of the time it doesn't work. Seems like there should be an easy fix for the price of the vehicle. Everything should work properly. The easy fix is to do like everyone else and just use your phone and place all your music on your phone. I have other things on my phone that I need that space for so that is not an option. I would like to be able to have various flash drives for various music styles and also audio books. Any help would be appreciated.
