I just got back from a 4th of July trip out in the Eastern Sierras in CA. Went from Bishop 4,100' elevation to Coyote Flats top ridge 10,000', explored around with lots of elevation changes between 8,000' to 11,100', through Sugarloaf, dropped back into Big Pine with a total trip of 54 miles from full tank in Bishop to Big Pine to fill up 14 gallons. I averaged 3.86 miles per gallon.
This isn't my video, but we did this all the way through to the other end. We passed the part where they turned back at 27:30 mark. Granted I was the only one that made it through without assistance, and I had to pull others through.
