I have a 98 Discovery. My right side front fog lamp went out. It states in the owners manual to have LR replace this bulb (the only one they suggest) since it was enclosed in the housing that was attached by a bracket to the front lower facia. I took it apart, pulled the bulb out,(it does not have a normal socket, it has a wire that plugs into an elec insert) went down to the parts house along with the daytime running bulb that was out also, got a replacement and reassembled. It worked fine for a day. Then my instrument panel backlight went out, along with both front fogg lamps as well as my rear lights when I turned the headlamps on.... I replaced the #2 amp(20A) in the fuse box under the hood and everything worked. I then turned the front fog lamps on again and it blew. What could be the issue? Is the bulb that I replaced it with to high voltage and over loading the fuse? Can I relpace the 20A fuse with a 25A or 30A? Please help!

You seem to have a short in the wiring somewhere. DO NOT try to solve the problem by fitting a bigger fuse!
