98 Discovery Cut out on me!-Advise??

Happy Monday All!

Here's my issue-

I was driving, all of a suuden car started puttin' as if i had no gas. Managed to reverse down hill (car not wouldnt start) into parking lot, placed more gas still was didnt start, wants to start but not not following through. Noise is coming by the engine, cked battery was ok, i think gas was getting through ok, thought it might be a fuel pump..someone cked it out stating timing might have jumped?? he was no rover expert.

Next day car started, tried to drive home, once i got up to 50miles, hit gas didnt want to go anymore, slowly started putting again, and slowing down... and totally cut out.

Any advise 4 me or can anyone head me in the right direction ?

First thing I would check is the Cats, could be they are clogged and causing your issue, could also be fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. Could be many things, but without at least some service history I would hate to say for sure.

Got A Diagnostic!

Had No Choice But To Bring It For A Diagnostic At A Shop, They Stated I Was In Need Of A New Fuel Pump.. Any Good Rover Online Parts Store Or Local Stores I Can Pick Up At? They Wanna Charge Me, 1128.00 I Know They Are Overdoing It.
