AC Leak

2015 Lux. Looks like we have a bad leak in the AC, thinking either expansion valve or evaporator, as driving a few weeks ago, all of a sudden strong freon smell, then AC stopped blowing cold. Now just a faint smell when we accidentally turn it on.

Anyone replaced either of these parts? I'm guessing complete dash removal. Not looking forward to this.

Pulled complete dash out down to firewall, found leak in the evaporator (suspected due to strong smell of Freon coming out vents) replaced the evaporator. Had leather dash pad re-glued while I had that out as well. Ac blowing nice and cold.
