Hello all,
Quick question I was in the snow being stupid and doing drifts in a parking lot with deep snow and didn’t realize there was a curb which resulted into me slamming my left rear side wheel into the curb. Looking at it right now every suspension piece will need replacement. I wanted to know if anybody has a ballpark on what the dealer would charge for this job! Thanks

What in the world did you do to manage to get your LR to drift? I can't seem to disable enough systems to allow that to happen.

Interesting she drifted very well with traction control off and in sport shift mode in 1st gear. But mostly it was the snows help to break her loose

You'll probably need both the upper and lower control arms, as well as a few other bits and pieces. I'd go with an independent shop. This isn't something a dealer needs to do to be done right.

Ouch!

You might want to check your insurance deductible and go that route.. My dealership does not do repairs from collisions, they have a high end collision shop do it.. I'll take a loose stab at it- $5,000 in new parts if the damage didn't affect the diff.. If you turn wrenches, you might want to find a salvage yard with a low mile LR4, and start pricing..

Look on the bright side, it looks like there is no body damage..

Good Luck,

Mike

Thank you Mike! Looks like I am probably going to attempt to the job with my buddy who has a lift. Unfortunately due to the fact the car having 240k miles it would most definitely be a total loss

Suprisingly no it has not. Only routine service and wear items and once a crossover pipe

With that mileage, I'd get on the 'bay and start looking- there are many LR4s that have no rear-end damage, and if you call the yard (their info is in the seller description), you can get a deal going to get a pallet of parts shipped to you.. I's shoot for $800 shipped..
