Hi all,

I've searched through the whole forum and did not find anything closely related to my problem. So I'm posting this as the first issue for this forum....
My 2001 Disco's ACE indicator is on. I've tried a few attempt to restart the engine and the light keeps coming back on either amber or red after a few miles of driving. The car is about 70000km and I only took my disco on the street..... nothing rough.
Can anyone give me some suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Vern

Have you checked the ACE fluid level? Have you every flushed the ACE system?

Hi Joey,

Thanks for the prompt reply...
I've just done the 72K km service about a month ago. And I've just opened the hood and checked the ACE fluid level the minute I saw your post and the level is fine. I heard some small but noticeable continuous electric circuit noise (...zip..zip..zip.. kinda noise) from near the reservoir though when checking the fluid level. Is that normal when the car is completely turned off for 4-5 hrs already? Please advise!

Sounds like you may have a short in the wiring.... I would disconnect and clean all the connectors in the area of the reservoir.

the answer is no this is not normal. It may just be a short that is causing the light... maybe a level sensor.

Hi all,

Just wanna update abt my 2001 disco's ACE system warning light.
I dropped by a local LR dealer yesterday morning on my way to work. They service guy is nice enough to ask his mechanic to take my car for diagnose (complimentry) and six fault were found. So the mechanic had swap the relay between the fog light and the ACE and told me to test a few days to see how it goes. So far so good, no more light on yet. Lets hope this is the reason the lights on!!
