I have a 2012 with 116K on the odometer. I have noticed that I have a big lack of power going up hills between 1st and 2nd gear. I have no lights on but a a few minor codes related to puddle lights, but absolutely nothing indicating an issue related to the transmission, fuel sensors, etc. It shifts smooth through all gears.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Define “going up hills”. 20, 30, 40 degree slope.
Are you fully laden? Towing?
I don’t buy the argument “getting old”… if not in proper repair: Fix it.
”Lo” on the transfer case?

I need much more information.

Agreed.

My engine feels the same as it did when I bought it.

OP can you post a video?

I keep up with all routine maintenance and oil changes at 5K intervals and fix anything that happens. I drove different scenarios yesterday and to be honest, I am noticing it now as a slight weakness/hesitation around 3rd gear. It is more of a feeling of the car than any sound or anything that will be able to determine with a video if that makes sense. I will see if a video is at all helpful. I am scheduled to have my mechanic take a look this week. I replaced the diff, and transfer case fluids, at recommended mileage.

I'll be back in touch.

Meant to add, I am not towing or have any added weight besides my prospeed rack and rock sliders. They have been on since purchase, so it is nothing new from an added weight standpoint.
